lazy days

last saturday me and kenna had some fun and went to oxford street. well when we got there we decided not to walk down oxford street so instead we went over to carnaby street market! it was the cutest thing ever! so we all have a slight obsession with the chocolate here so every where we go we notice the chocolate. if you're in the market for some fantastic chocolate i suggest going to liberty house which is in soho right by carnaby street market. best chocolate i've had since i've been here yet. also, as we walked around in here we came upon this little cake shop. we were able to sample a piece. WOW! i've never had such incredible cake in my entire life. it was a ginger spice cake with white chocolate frosting in the middle. i'm in love with it!

sometimes we like to pose and pretend we are models...

did i mention that we went to BUCKINGHAM PALACE! ah its so pretty! and so big!

i am now a primary teaching at church and i absolutely adore these cute kids! i feel so lucky to have them in my life for the next few months! they teach me so many new things!

on monday me, kenna, and audrey went for a run through hyde park (no big deal or anything)!

Tuesday we had class then packed up so we would be ready to head out on our trip. when i get back this weekend ill post some pictures from our trips! it's been absolutely amazing!

road trippin

last week we took a mini vacation to a few different cities in england! we had a great big coach that would drive up and down all the little roads. lets just say all 45 of us AMERICANS stood out like a sore thumb all weekend.

alright so we left wednesday morning. we had to be up by 6:00 am so we could eat breakfast, make lunches and get the coach packed so we could be on our way by 7:00. we drove about 4 hours to manchester. manchester is beautiful if i do say so myself! we went to a museum there then we had a little time to do whatever we wanted before we had to meet up at the town hall so we wandered the streets. its very different than london but still has that english feel to it.

had to

manchester!

don't ask. we struggle sometimes. especially me

we got a bit tired but didn't want to be lazy.
this is what we came up with. horizontal running!

beggers.
basically i have the coolest professor ever!

that evening we drove another 2 hours to ambleside and stayed in the cutest bed and breakfast! we ate dinner at a little pub and it was to die for!

k so thursday morning we woke up and drove about 45 minutes to the lake districts! WOW! it is absolutely beautiful there! we were able to go wander around a few cottages. my favorite was john ruskins home. its so secluded and has the most incredible land surrounding it!

full of good times and laughs where ever we go

we can also be normal too though

all of the above are from john ruskins home

stone rigg

we were so proud to make it on top of this rock.
we may or may not have needed lots of help getting up but we did it!

we came across this tree as we were wandering around.
it has old coins stuck in it. we tried to get them out but we couldn't:(

that night we ate at our favorite pub again because we just couldn't get enough. we woke up the next morning and got on the bus. we drove about 2 hours to preston where we met a man who gave us a church history tour of the area.

this is the first baptismal font

best part was we ran into MISSIONARIES!

did i mention it was freezing? it was so cold that my bones were aching
and it was very difficult to walk.

we left preston and drove maybe an hour to liverpool and we went to the BEATLES MUSEUM! it was so cool! easily made it onto my top two favorite things of the vacay. we spent a few hours walking around, jamming out to the beatles then headed to our hotel. for dinner we walked down the road to the mall which had a variety of options to choose from. not to mention some awesome stores to look around in!

crazy for the beatles!

yes, we are in college but we just love dressing up!!

this is my favorite picture because you have the ferris wheel in the background
but you can also see the snow falling! oh and because i love abby!

saturday morning we woke up and stopped in a little town called port sunlight and went to an art museum. it was my favorite museum of the trip (we went to 6). after port sunlight we drove into birmingham and stopped at our last museum. all in all, it was ALOT of museums and by the end we were all museumed out! but it was so much fun to spend time with people i'm not normally with! the bus rides really weren't that bad either because we got to switch up our bus buddy and sit by new people! by the end of the week, everyone was ready to go home to london and have some home cooked meals from our amazing cook tais!

ok so we were able to make it home saturday night so we could go to church on sunday. well we woke up sunday morning and it had SNOWED! well because it had snowed, tubes and trains were shut down so we weren't able to travel out to greenwich to go to our ward. its amazing that only 2 inches of snow will cause so many cancellations and cause places to shut down. i don't remember ever having stores or schools cancelled due to snow and we would get way more than 2 inches. its interesting to see the differences all around the world and how things work.

love the snow! it makes me feel at home:)

monday we just had classes then we went to portobello road and wandered around the markets. but tuesday was so much fun! i went to the aquarium here! yay!

those weed looking things are fish.

yesterday we had a free day to do whatever we'd like. we decided to go to covent gardens and walk around. they have amazing crepes and the cutest little shops!

well class is starting so i should probably pay attention now.
