well i think it's safe to say that i'm in love! this city stole my heart the minute i stepped off of the plane.
before i spill my guts about my new found love, lets back track to wednesday night. i didn't sleep at all wednesday night so you can imagine how i felt when i arrived in los angeles thursday morning. BUT saying goodbye to everyone, especially my family, was soo hard! i miss every single one of them. especially these two cuties!
i had a 12 hour layover in LA so luckily my friend, who came with me to london, picked me up and we went back to her house and i crashed for 3 hours but woke up still exhausted. both of us were dreading our 11 hour flight and both of us were so hungry. if any of you have been on an airplane then you should know that airplane food is definitely not very good. luckily my cute mom dumped a big bag of pretzels into a ziplock bag because that was our dinner and breakfast while we traveled!
(what would i do without my mom)
after our flight, we had to figure out how to get to the centre. well we thought the tube sounded like a good idea so we bought our tickets and hopped on the tube. (remember we are both carrying 2 heavy suitcases) hiking from the tube up to the street was difficult to say the least. we both had so much luggage and it made it tough to try and blend in.
to make things even more interesting as we were getting off the tube mckenna thought it would be a good idea to get stuck. pushing one bag infront of her and pulling one behind her with the tube doors closing calls for a bit of a disaster. her hand got shut on but luckily she wouldn't let go of the one she was pulling or that baby would've been a goner!
BUT we did successfully make it off the tube, onto bayswater road, and to 27 palace court where my new home is!
so far the tube is my favorite thing about london! not sure what it is but there's something about traveling underground that i love!
(sorry for the blurry image)
by the time we got to london we had only eaten our pretzels and an ice cream sandwich they gave us on the plane, so we decided to go find ourselves a nice little place to eat and this was definitely a winner! being in a new country though means new money to get use to. our poor server probably got an aweful tip. whoops!
i love my new home! this is the street i live on. i'll post more pictures of it when it is light out. did i mention prince william and kate are my new neighbors?
well i'm running on about 3 hours of real sleep (because sleeping on a plane isn't the same thing) within the last 72 hours so i think its way past my bedtime.
xxx
